Paintings

I use very limited and simple materials in my paintings: water color, gouache, colored pencils, and pencils. By not setting visual objectives or use of complicated technique, I achieve more fluidity. I begin a visual expression and it takes on a life of its own. As the visual takes form, I also have to be mindful to know where to stop; to let the form speak for itself. Music, and the spaces between musical phrasing, influence my endeavors. I love to listen to classical music as I am creating work.
